Basically the idea behind this track was the listener being introduced to the main thematic element and narrative of the album: desire. Whilst this doesn't have lyrics yet, the song is about wanting someone that's new in your life and constantly thinking about them. But, where does desire blur the reality? Anyways, I basically stole this idea from an unreleased Gracie Abrams snippet, the snippet is called "Close to You" and had these like heavy lyrics - I took the chord progression and through thought process, it ended up becoming this early Grimes meets EDM esque club pop track about being in love. One day I'll reveal the true inspiration behind the lyrics.

This track was made immediately after Somebody I Desire and it's to introduce the other thematic element in the album: the difficulties of relationship. I'm mainly aiming for a rejection out of like fear of being hurt vibe in this song, and the main chorus I've thought up so far is basically like "who do you think you are, you can't just save me like some patron saint," basically these antithesis of desire (or is it?) For this one, I stole a chord progression from a Tori Amos song and accidentally made like Calvin Harris esque club music meets electronic kinda 2017-2018 pop?

Without Lunar Data Garden's Lost Connection, this album literally would've never existed - when I listen to the song, I get all these visuals in my head, mainly like exploring a desert or just a long journey. I had also been listening to PJ Harvey's Is This Desire? and the idea somehow formed in my mind of matching the lyrical content of I.T.D? with Lost Connection and I really liked the outcome, when the full track is done, it's gonna be this sort of ballad electronic pop song about losing your self and being assimilated into the version people most desire you as, and breaking free of it. I suppose I took these ideas into a very sad and dark direction but I really make my best music when I'm upset with men.

Sorry, this one may be loud. I haven't mixed, compressed or mastered it yet lol. I stole the title from Xiu Xiu and Mitski's "In Between The Breaths" but that's where the similarities (mostly) end. Sonically, I wanted this song to represent a turning point in the album of palpable tension, maybe our main characters are still in the club but now the thrashing of dancing patrons and high energy music is getting too much. Lyrically, the title of the song might end up "What was it you said?" because the lyrical ideas I have revolve around the album's antithesis, rejection and jadedness. Here, the story runs into miscommunication, just what is really going on?
